The Wall Is Our Friend

An active practice in which the wall is woven in as a prop throughout!

Although we use the wall in this class, this is not a gentle yoga class! ;)

This practice thoroughly targets the whole body in an active way. And in some cases (but not all), the use of the wall actually increases the challenge involved in our poses!

We start with active shoulder and hip mobility work at the wall, and then we move into a fun spin on what would otherwise be a conventional vinysasa-type flow. We also get to visit wall-based core work and bridging work, and we conclude the active portion of the class with an excellent half moon (ardha chandrasana) variation.

This class utilizes a moderate amount of space at a wall, and if you have less flexible hamstrings, you may enjoy have 1-2 yoga blocks with you!
