Strengthen Your Neck

This is a short practice focused on increasing the strength of the neck region. It should leave you feeling stronger and more confident in this area of your body!

When the area of our neck is achy and complainy, we’re often advised to passively stretch it or to “roll it out” with massage balls or another type of self-massage tool. But whereas the help that these strategies offer is generally short-term, research actually suggests that strengthening the neck region can have more potent and long-term effects on how our neck feels. Neck strengthening can also potentially be preventative for neck pain.

(Disclaimer: this neck strengthening practice is not meant to be a treatment for neck conditions and does not constitute medical advice. Please see a physical therapist for any neck-related issues you might be dealing with.)

This practice utilizes 1 chair and an optional resistance band.
