Yoga Class Club: March 2025
Hey Everybody,
Welcome to March in our Yoga Class Club! 🎉
I’m excited to share this month’s selection of classes with you. Whether you’re in the mood for something gentle, active, or strong, there’s a well-rounded mix here to support your practice. Plus, I’ve included two quick 10-minute flows for those extra busy days when you just need a little movement boost.
Our specialty class this month is all about handstand play and prep! 🤸♀️ Please know that you absolutely do not need to be able to hold a freestanding handstand to take this class. As long as you’re comfortable bearing weight in your arms and taking some hops in the direction of handstand, this fun and playful session is for you! (Handstand is personally my favorite yoga pose :), and I think working with it can be so empowering.)
A few reminders about our Yoga Class Club:
–Feel free to branch out and take any other classes from the greater library that resonate with you. This March selection represents what I see as a balanced month-long practice, but it’s all about what works best for you.
–You can always substitute any class from the library (or from any other yoga teacher if you also take classes elsewhere, for that matter!) if something I’ve chosen doesn’t feel like the right fit. If you’re using the Accountability Checklist (scroll down to find it), you can jot down your substitutions there too.
Enjoy this month’s Yoga Class Club selection, and I look forward to practicing with you!
–Jenni
P.S. Remember that I’m always here in our community forum if you have any comments, questions, or feedback about the “Club”!
Warm-Up Flows: 10-minute yoga/movement snacks
–Take each class 1x/week this month
-
A Bit of Shoulder Fun
**Please note: this practice uses a yoga strap, resistance band, or similar household object (scarf, tie, etc.)
This quick flow practice will definitely move our whole body, but we have an extra layer of focus on the shoulders in this sequence. We’ll rotate our shoulders through full ranges of motion as we move through this full body flow!
-
A Touch of Lower Body & Ankles
This quick, full-body flow puts a special spotlight on the foundation of it all: your ankles! Throughout the sequence, you'll find ankle-focused moves seamlessly woven into larger, dynamic movements. A great way to light up your day with a quick jolt of movement!
Gentle yoga practices – when you want to move, but without a lot of effort
–Take each class once this month (and more if you need it)
-
Keep It Low Mellow Flow (35 min)
This creative, gentle sequence links together a novel and flowing sequence of movements that will light up your hips, spine, shoulders, and ankles – all without coming up into any standing poses at all! I love the way we cycle through one long, connected round on one side and then circle back to the second side after that.
-
Gentle Backbends Practice (41 min)
Joe Miller is our amazing resident somatics-style yoga teacher! He’s a certified Feldenkrais teacher, and his gentle classes consist of paying attention to the internal experience of very gentle, but thoughtful movements. This class uses the playful “hold your big toe” movement (basically our supta padangusthasana in yoga!) to explore a cool new movement pattern – and to potentially increase some hip mobility!
Active yoga practices – we flow and connect to our breath, but the challenge level is moderate
Take each class at least 2x this month
-
Half Moon-Themed Flow (47 min)
Half moon is one of my favorite yoga poses, and I thought it deserved a specially-themed class of its own! This creative flow builds toward ardha chandrasana by weaving in its key elements – hip adductor and hip abductor work, balance, and strength. In this class, we also explore the pose from different angles, put it all together in our peak sequence, and even try a couple of fun variations along the way!
-
Creative Standing-Based Flow w/ Magnus Ringberg (26 min)
I’m more than excited to share the fourth class in our series from our newest special guest teacher in the library: Magnus Ringberg! 🎉🎉 I’ve been a major fan of Magnus and his yoga/movement teaching and education work for years, and am thrilled that he’s decided to contribute some specially-created classes for our community! This Creative Standing-Based Flow is his fourth practice for us, and I think you’ll love it!
-
Low Whole Body Flow (39 min)
Can you believe it? We manage to target our whole body in an active way in this class – without ever coming up into a standing position! I love the novelty of this practice, and the way my body feels afterward!
Strong flows (optional)– when we really want to level up the challenge!
Take each class 2x this month if your body wants a more fiery practice
-
Core Connected Flow (39 min)
This whole body flow has a focus on the 360° core woven throughout. And the sun salutation flow we do toward the beginning of class is one of my favorite flowing sequences! We also fit in some great long-lever hamstring activation, a fun “block pass” move, the best way to enter side plank :), and hovering triangle. What could be better??
-
Full Range Hip Strength & Flexibility (56 min)
In this class, we focus on targeting the hips from all sides (in 360°!) I teach this whole practice with lots of options, so you can choose to really step things up for extra fiery hip work, or stay on the mellower side. This awesome and unique practice will tune you into your hips in a whole new way!
Specialty class (optional)– a yoga class with an extra specific focus
Take this class 1 or more times this month if this specialty focus feels relevant for your body!
-
Handstand Play & Prep (35 min)
Please note: there’s no need to be able to hold a middle-of-the-room handstand in order to take this class! :) As long as you’re comfortable bearing weight in your arms and taking some hops in the direction of handstand, this fun and playful class is for you. Handstand is personally my favorite yoga pose :), and I think working with it can be so empowering!
