Q&A Bonus Videos – Week 4
Triangle Pose – The Hips/Butt “Sticking Back”?
“In triangle and/or half moon how do you cue the front glute. I was taught to isometrically bring the front sit bone toward the back heel. Yet, I still see many students sticking that front glute out as they try to maintain the shape. I teach a very basic class at a local studio one cay a week. I often go and assist, but many times I can’t assist the students due to size or time constraints.”
The Obliques in Triangle Pose
“Jenni, I encourage students to keep activation in the top side obliques by not turning the chest downward. Sometimes suggesting they keep they hand there as they reach forward to feel the activation and if the area softens as they reach toward the earth they have lost the activation. Is this a true statement?
You have likely heard the cue of staying between two planes of glass, I don’t use that cue but I Love the feeling of engaging and working the obliques to avoid the “love handles” I am fighting against as I age.
Am I causing any injurious harm? I am loving this course, it feels like “myth busters””
