Rolling Around on the Ground
Working on the skill of rolling can be excellent for improving our core awareness and core connection. In this very smart practice, Laurel guides is through a gentle, somatic-style practice designed to expand our nervous system's options for coordinating our body's rolling pattern.
This practice utilizes no yoga props - except for the ability to slide your feet across the floor. If you have a hardwood or smooth floor for sliding your feet, Laurel recommends having a pair of socks handy for the slide-y parts of this practice. If you have a carpeted floor, Laurel recommends a plastic bag on each foot or a paper plate underneath each foot for these segments of the class.
