Pincha Play and Prep
This unconventional and fun practice is designed to either help us move closer to practicing our first pincha mayurasana (forearm balance) or to improve the pincha mayurasanv that we’re already practicing.
In this class, we start with a relatively short flow designed to warm us up specifically so we’re ready to play with pincha mayurasana. Then we play with pincha mayurasana for a bit (no need to fully invert if we’re not interested!). After that, we move through 2 sets of a sequence of 3 exercises designed to build strength and mobility for pincha mayurasana over the long term.
This practice utilizes 2 items: 1 yoga block (or household item equivalent) and 1 broom, hammer, or dumbbell.
