Anatomical vs. Imagetic Cueing (Mini Workshop/YTT)

If you’ve taken any of Laura’s chair yoga classes here in the library, you’ve probably experienced that she is masterful at creative, effective movement cueing.

In this mini-workshop, Laura shares about her approach to cueing, outlining the difference between anatomical and what she calls “imagetic” cueing. Imagetic cues may be more accessible to a wider population of students than anatomical ones, and she gives an abundance of concrete examples of this type of cueing that we can apply directly to our yoga and movement classes if we feel inclined to.

Enjoy Laura’s fantastic and knowledgeable teaching on this relevant topic for yogis!
