Pain Science: Theory & Application for Yogis

Yoga Continuing Education Course

Pain science is a paradigm-shifting topic that should be required knowledge for all yogis.

Even though we don’t diagnose or treat pain as yoga teachers, a working knowledge of the science of pain gives us essential insights into how the body works and therefore has huge implications for how we approach the body in the context of yoga and movement.

Join Jenni for this 2-part workshop (4.5 hours total) on the theory and application of pain science for yogis. Part 1 is focused on pain science theory. In Part 2, we apply this information to the practice and teaching of yoga. (Even if you have previously studied pain science, please be sure to watch Part 1 in its entirety before diving into Part 2, as it’s important that we are all on the same page about the foundational theoretical concepts we’ll be applying to yoga.)

Included is an optional quiz covering both Parts 1 and 2 that you are welcome to take for certification that you have completed and comprehended this course.

As with all of Jenni’s workshops, this course counts for continuing education hours for Yoga Alliance-registered yoga teachers! Pain Science: Theory & Application for Yogis qualifies for 4.5 CE hrs.
