How to Add Load to Your Yoga Practice

A Yoga Continuing Education Course

We know that most yoga practitioners could benefit from adding load to their yoga practice.
But how exactly can we achieve this?

Adding external weights to a yoga practice is an obvious and wonderful way to add load, but did you know that there are many other ways to add load to yoga that don’t require the addition of weights?

In this 1-hour mini-workshop, Jenni outlines 6 concrete strategies that we can all begin to employ right away for making our yoga practice stronger, whether we practice in a setting that has weights or not. In fact, none of these strategies require any non-traditional yoga props, and many require no yoga props at all.

Jenni also answers the foundational question “what IS load?”, and explains exactly why and how load is beneficial for the body.

Note the optional quiz you are welcome to take for certification that you have completed and comprehended this course.

As with all of Jenni’s workshops, this course counts for continuing education hours for Yoga Alliance-registered yoga teachers.
