Alignment, Posture, & Yoga:
A Modern Approach

A Yoga Continuing Education Course

This course is intended to help yogis sharpen their critical thinking skills and improve their ability to examine topics through a more scientific lens. We focus on the specific subject of alignment and posture here because it’s very relevant for yogis, but the foundational reasoning concepts introduced are important skills that can prove to be valuable in many other aspects of our life as well.

In this yoga continuing education course, Jenni takes complex concepts about posture, alignment, pain, function, injury prevention, and more and presents them in digestible, practical ways for yoga teachers and interested yoga students. The content of this course will support you in viewing and approaching the human body both on and off the yoga mat within a science-supported paradigm.

This 2.5-hour course is divided into 4 sections:

  1. Alignment & Yoga

  2. Alignment/Posture in Daily Life

  3. Where Alignment On & Off the Mat Meet

  4. An Educational “Case Study”

Note the optional quiz you are welcome to take for certification that you have completed and comprehended this course.

As with all of Jenni’s workshops, this course counts for continuing education hours for Yoga Alliance-registered yoga teachers.
